PGA Teaching Professional A-6

Mark Duane has been a PGA professional for 18 year working in the Berkshires and Hampshire County. He has worked as assistant professional at Berkshire Hills CC., CC of Pittsfield, Head Professional at Worthington Golf Club. His instruction has led him to Cranwell and Skyline CC. Mark’s teaching philosophy is based on the fundamentals. Grip, posture, alignment and balance are essential and the basis of all effective golf swings. His students find his teaching to be clear, concise and entertaining. His teaching resume includes:

Teaching

  • Have instructed over 6000 men and women of all ages and ability levels
  • Utilize video equipment and V1 computer swing analyzer to enhance learning during group clinics or in private sessions
  • Organized junior golf and tennis camp with 40 students
  • Conducted ladies clinics at CC of Pittsfield, 1997-2000, WGC 2001-03
  • Oversaw weekly junior program at Berkshire Hills & Country Club of Pittsfield with 70 and 30 youths, respectively
  • Organized and instructed various junior and women’s clinics at Skyline Country Club
  • Instructed Mount Vernon youth group 2008, 2009
  • Head Golf Coach – Gateway Regional High School 2001, 18-1 Conference Champions, 2002 15-3 Western Mass and State Runner-up, 2003 15-3 Conference Runner-up
